Alright ladies and gents, let's get this show on the road.

Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes. The much-anticipated fan-sequel killed by a C&D from Square (which may or may not have been faked) a few years ago; about a year and a half back an almost-complete beta version was released via Reddit and spread onto the internet, replacing the much-less-complete and far-buggier alpha version that had been floating around since the C&D hit.

Created by a team of users - dubbed Kajar Laboratories - over at the Chrono Continuum, the aim of Crimson Echoes was to create a storyline bridge between Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, answer a few of the lingering plot questions from both, and entertain some of the team's theories regarding the nature of Chrono time travel, history, setting, and magic. So while the answers provided are squarely in the role of Fanon rather than Canon... it's done by some of the most Chrono-educated people on the web and pretty extensively researched and elaborated on in respect to both original games.

Here's how it's gonna go. I'm doing this as a screenshot LP - RPGs are really not all that great for video LPs unless you can just ceaselessly spout important statistical or storyline information a la Chuggaaconroy, and that I cannot. However, this game has a TON of dialogue, and I don't want you guys to miss out. SO! Any text that's not screenshotted will be provided in a quote block.

I'll also be embedding music so you can keep up with the soundtrack of the game - if the videos posted up by the Kajar Labs team after the C&D are any indication, some of the music has been changed, particularly later in the game. And even in the parts that aren't, CT music is awesome.

I'm in a retro-gaming mood and this beast has been sitting in my hard drive for over two years now almost untouched. Let's do this.
